Telangana Women Safety Wing inks MoU with TASL to strengthen Community-oriented policing

Hyderabad, June 25 (UNI) The Women Safety Wing, Telangana Police, through the Bharosa Society for Protection of Women and Children, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here today with Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. (TASL) to jointly implement the initiative titled “Driving Policing Efficiency for Community Impact.”
The MoU was formally signed by Charu Sinha, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Women Safety Wing, who also serves as the Head of the Bharosa Society and Masood Hussainy, Executive Director of TATA Advanced Systems, in the presence of senior officials from Bharosa.
This collaboration marks a strategic step in augmenting the impact of key women safety modules operated by the Women Safety Wing — SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, and Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTU) — through targeted technology interventions, capacity building, and operational innovation.
The project aims to enable deeper community outreach, improve internal coordination, and enhance victim-centric service delivery by equipping field personnel and institutional mechanisms with modern tools and training.
The partnership also promotes CSR-linked employee engagement through volunteering opportunities with Bharosa-supported initiatives.
Through this MoU, TASL has extended its support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework, reinforcing its commitment to social equity and institutional development. This collaboration is expected to catalyze institutional strengthening within the Women Safety Wing and further position Telangana as a national leader in integrated, community-based policing for women and child safety.
