Texmaco Rail & Engineering secures contract for TSS in Mumbai

Kolkata, June 3 (UNI) City-based Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd. has bagged a Rs 122.31 crore contract for the design, supply, and commissioning of a cutting-edge gas-insulated traction substation (TSS) for the Mumbai Suburban Railway network.
Awarded by the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC), the project features a 50 MVA transformer, making it the largest ever in a traction substation. As Mumbai’s railway system evolves to meet the demands of a rapidly growing urban population, this high-capacity infrastructure will significantly boost efficiency and reliability, ensuring a seamless commuting experience for millions of passengers.
"As a proud contributor to Make in India, Texmaco remains dedicated to delivering robust, scalable solutions that help shape India’s urban transport landscape into a world-class, self-sufficient system." Texmaco vice chairman Indrajit Mookerjee said on Tuesday.
