Three arrested in Camri road firing case in Hisar; Old rivalry suspected

Panchkula, Oct 6 (UNI) Three men have been arrested in connection with the firing incident near Camri Road in Hisar, that left one person dead and another seriously injured, an official said on Tuesday.
The arrests followed a swift investigation launched after armed men allegedly opened fire behind Milan Place on Camri Road during the night of October 4. The deceased suffered fatal gunshot injuries, while another person was critically injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital, the official said.
Hisar Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain directed the formation of three special police teams to investigate the case. The teams examined CCTV footage from the crime scene and surrounding areas, analysed technical evidence and pursued other leads before identifying and apprehending the three suspects.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sunil, Amit and Amit, the official said. Police stated that the accused have more than 15 criminal cases registered against them, including cases relating to assault, murder, robbery and dacoity.
The investigation has so far indicated that the shooting may have stemmed from an old rivalry, although police are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack and the exact motive.
Haryana Police teams are conducting sustained questioning of the arrested suspects and are working to recover the weapons allegedly used in the crime and other material evidence. Police are also examining whether other people were involved in the incident.
The police official said the investigation is being pursued on multiple fronts, including reconstruction of the sequence of events, identification of the weapons used and determination of the role of any additional suspects.
SP Siddhant Jain said Haryana Police would continue taking firm action against those involved in serious crimes and that anyone found responsible for the shooting would face legal action.
He also said the role of every person linked to the incident is being examined and that further arrests could follow if evidence established their involvement.
Haryana Police said the investigation remains underway as teams work to establish the complete chain of events leading to the Camri Road firing.
