Thunderstorm with lighting and strong winds likely in AP in next 5 days: Met

Amaravati, June 22 (UNI) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at Isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next five days, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that strong winds with speeds of 40- 50kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the same period.

Hot , humid and uncomfortable weather is likely to prevail at Isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next three days and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places or at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.

Heavy rainfall occurred over Eluru district of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and at one or two places over Rayalaseema during the same period, the report added.
