Traffic curbs during AR Rahman live concert in New Mumbai

Mumbai May 2 (UNI) The Navi Mumbai Traffic Police on Friday announced a temporary ban on the movement and parking of all types of heavy vehicles within city limits during AR Rahman live concert scheduled for May 3, at Dr DY Patil Stadium at Nerul, in Navi Mumbai.
The traffic restriction will be in force from 2:00 PM to 12:00 midnight on Saturday to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of performers, VIPs, and attendees.
The decision comes following a report submitted by the senior police inspector of the Turbhe Traffic Division, highlighting the expected influx of crowds and potential traffic congestion in the area.
The order, issued by deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakade is being enforced under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
It strictly prohibits heavy goods vehicles from entering, operating, or being parked on any road within the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate during the specified time period.
