Panchmarhi, June 17 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a political party where training is considered an integral part of its organisational structure.
Addressing the concluding session of a three-day training camp for the party's MPs and MLAs from Madhya Pradesh at Pachmarhi on Monday, Singh said that the tradition of training has remained unchanged since the days of the Jana Sangh.
Singh highlighted that despite the party's growth into one of the largest political parties globally, its commitment to cultural nationalism, training, and welfare of the poor has remained unwavering. He cited the party's founding ideologue, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, who established the politics of ideas and values.
Singh advised party leaders to remember that their role is that of a public servant, not a departmental head. He added that policies should reflect harmony, not appeasement.
"For us, the entire world is one family. How can decisions be made based on caste or sect?" he asked.
Singh reminded the MPs and MLAs that they were born in the fire of struggle, not in the corridors of power.
He urged them to stay connected with the party organisation, respect and listen to the party workers, and always keep their thinking and vision broad. "The real strength of the BJP lies in the trust of the people and the hard work of its workers," he said.
