UIDAI expands Aadhaar services in Keralam

Malappuram, Oct 23 (UNI) The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has opened a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) here, strengthening access to Aadhaar enrolment, update and grievance redressal services in this district of Keralam.
The state-of-the-art centre was inaugurated by Malappuram District Collector Vinay Goyal on Friday in the presence of officials from the UIDAI Regional Office, Bengaluru, representatives of BLS International and staff members of the centre.
During the inauguration, Goyal appreciated UIDAI's efforts to improve the delivery of resident-centric services and interacted with residents visiting the facility and the staff. He also enquired about Aadhaar enrolment and update procedures and reviewed the range of services being provided at the centre.
The Malappuram ASK is equipped with 16 operational kits to facilitate Aadhaar-related services for residents. It will provide new Aadhaar enrolment, demographic and biometric updates, grievance redressal and other Aadhaar-related services under one roof.
The centre will remain open on all days except public holidays, offering residents greater convenience in accessing the services. Besides handling enrolment and update requests, it will receive grievances from Aadhaar number holders and facilitate their resolution through the UIDAI Regional Office.
With the operationalisation of the Malappuram centre, UIDAI now has seven Aadhaar Seva Kendras functioning across Keralam. Another seven centres are scheduled to become operational in different districts in the coming days, taking the total number of UIDAI-run centres in the state to 14.
The UIDAI-run centres are designed to cater to the needs of all residents, with facilities including wheelchair accessibility, accessible restrooms and a dedicated grievance redressal mechanism.
Residents can book appointments online for Aadhaar services through the UIDAI portal at https:ookappointment.uidai.gov.in/, https:ookappointment.uidai.gov.in/?utm_source=chatgpt.com.
BLS International Limited will manage the day-to-day operations of the Malappuram Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
