Unseasonal rain likely in parts of Maha; Temperatures set to rise gradually

Pune, Oct 31 (UNI) Despite October drawing to a close, Maharashtra continues to experience unpredictable weather, with light showers expected in some parts of the state while several districts are likely to witness dry conditions. According to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloudy skies and isolated rainfall are expected in certain areas, even as daytime temperatures are likely to rise gradually.
Pune, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur districts may receive light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms at isolated places.
The ghat regions of Pune and Satara may also experience showers. Similar weather conditions are expected in isolated parts of Nashik and Ahilyanagar districts.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for light rainfall in the morning hours in Satara, the Pune ghat region and parts of Ahilyanagar. In the Konkan region, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts may receive light showers at a few places.
However, Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad are likely to experience predominantly dry weather.
Although heavy rainfall is not expected in Mumbai, residents may notice changes in atmospheric conditions. Most districts in Marathwada, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed and Hingoli, are likely to remain dry, with no significant rainfall activity forecast for the day.
Similarly, most parts of Vidarbha are expected to experience dry weather. However, isolated light showers are possible in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts, while the remaining areas are likely to remain largely dry.
Despite the possibility of scattered showers, temperatures across Maharashtra are expected to increase gradually.
Maximum temperatures in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada may rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next few days.
Vidarbha is also likely to experience a gradual increase in daytime temperatures, resulting in uncomfortable conditions during the afternoon.
Night temperatures, meanwhile, may fluctuate in some areas.
According to the forecast, isolated rainfall is likely in Pune, Solapur and Dharashiv districts on November 1.
Some districts in Vidarbha may also receive light showers. On November 2, rainfall is expected at isolated places in Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Satara and Ratnagiri districts.
