UP impacted by Cyclobe Arnab: widespread rains

Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) The impact of Cyclone Arnab has altered the weather in Uttar Pradesh and since Friday morning, intermittent rain has fallen in 20 cities, including Lucknow, Noida, Agra, Mathura, and Jaunpur.
Cold winds are blowing and temperature has gone down by 5 to 8 degrees.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for all 75 districts today. Heavy rain is expected in 21 districts, including Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, and Moradabad. Thunderstorms and hailstorms are also expected in some cities. The weather will remain bad tomorrow as well.
On Thursday, rain fell in 18 districts, including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Ghaziabad, and Gorakhpur. Lightning struck the minaret of the Grand Mosque in Saharanpur.
According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Center, Lucknow, extremely heavy rain is possible in six Terai districts, while heavy rain is expected in 13 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Hailstorms are also expected in nine districts of western Uttar Pradesh. Thunderstorms and strong winds up to 50 kilometers per hour are expected in 50 districts of the state.
Singh, due to the effect of cyclonic storm Arnab and western disturbance, rain, strong winds and thunderstorm activities may occur in many parts of the state on Friday.
