UP: Jaipuria Institute of Mgmt brings Lucknow’s higher education leadership together at Praneta 2026

Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow today hosted the Jaipuria Higher Education Leadership Summit – Praneta 2026, which offered a forum for academic leaders to exchange perspectives on the priorities shaping higher education and recognise individuals and institutions contributing to the sector’s growth.
Held under the theme ‘Shaping the Next Decade’, the summit brought together representatives from 20 colleges and universities, creating a forum for academic leaders to exchange views on the direction of higher education, the challenges facing institutions and the priorities that will shape the student experience in the years ahead. The summit also recognised the contribution of senior academic leaders and faculty members to the field of education.
The participating institutions included Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, Integral University, Awadh Girls Degree College, IT PG College, National PG College, University of Lucknow, KKC, Shri Jai Narain Misra PG College, Goel Institute of Technology & Management, Goel Institute of Higher Studies Mahavidyalaya, Shri Ram Swaroop College of Engineering and Management, Shri Guru Nanak Girls PG College, Lucknow Christian Degree College, Ambalika Institute of Management & Technology, School of Management Sciences, Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Rama PG College, Institute of Hotel Management, Unity College and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Dr. Sushma Vishnani, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, followed by the inaugural session led by Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, who attended as the Chief Guest. The summit then moved into two panel discussions, bringing panelists together to examine the priorities, challenges and opportunities that will shape higher education over the next decade.
The first panel discussion, ‘Reimagining Higher Education for the Next Decade’, highlighted the need for education curricula to evolve more rapidly in response to technological advancements and changing global needs. Emphasising the challenges of climate change, antimicrobial resistance, and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, the speakers underscored the importance of integrating sustainability and humanity into education to support India's vision of Viksit Bharat.
This was followed by the second panel discussion, ‘Building Future-Ready Institutions through Collaboration’, which highlighted the critical necessity of structured collaboration to overcome institutional inertia, protectionism, and resource scarcity, noting that strategic partnerships yield multifarious success. Emphasising the three pillars of institutional compatibility, academy-industry alignment, and human relationships, the speakers underscored the importance of shedding isolated mindsets to embrace two-way knowledge flows in curriculum development, cross-institutional resource sharing, and mandatory community outreach. By citing successful collaborative models that project institutions onto a global stage despite limited initial footprints, the discussion demonstrated how shared expertise can turn underutilised resources into a purpose-driven catalyst for student employability and societal impact.
Speaking at the summit, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, said, “The next decade of higher education will require institutions to embrace innovation, strengthen collaboration and remain focused on preparing students for a rapidly changing world. Platforms such as Praneta 2026 provide an opportunity for academic leaders to share ideas and work together towards building a stronger and more future-ready education ecosystem.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sushma Vishnani, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, said, “The questions facing higher education today extend well beyond any one campus. They concern how we teach, prepare students for work, how technology changes learning, and how institutions respond to a changing world. Praneta 2026 by Jaipuria Institute of Management brings academic leaders from across Lucknow into that conversation. Recognising educators alongside institutional leaders is equally important because lasting change in education ultimately depends on the people who teach, mentor, and guide students.”
The summit concluded with a Reward and Recognition ceremony, where academic leaders and faculty members were felicitated for their contributions to higher education. The recognition placed educators alongside institutional leadership at the centre of the summit, acknowledging the role both play in shaping academic communities and student outcomes.
