UPEIDA prepares action plan for Unnao Logistics Cluster Project

Lucknow, May 23 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government has initiated work on the UP Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (UPIMLC) project in Unnao in a major step toward transforming the state into a hub of industrial growth, official sources said here on Friday.
Sources said that the project, located near the Lucknow-Kanpur State Highway, is part of the state's larger vision to become a 1 trillion dollar economy and strengthen its identity as an 'Udyam Pradesh' on both national and global stages.
Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has finalised a detailed action plan for the project, the
sources said.
"It will focus on creating state-of-the-art internal infrastructure to attract industries and boost
logistics connectivity in the region," they said.
Sources said that according to the action plan prepared by UPEIDA, the UPIMLC will span a total area of 135.26 hectares, with over Rs 30 crore earmarked for internal infrastructure development.
"The development work will follow the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model and is expected to be completed within 12 months," they said.

The Yogi government announced the establishment of 33 Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLCs) in 30 districts of UP last year.
"The UPIMLC being developed in Unnao is one of them. This site has excellent connectivity with the Ganga Expressway, Lucknow-Kanpur State Highway, Sonik Railway Station, Unnao Railway Station and Lucknow International Airport," they said.
Sources said that as part of the project, several structures will be built in the Unnao node of UPIMLC.
"These include a boundary wall, barbed wire fencing, a fire station, borewells, pump house, overhead water tank, entry gates, internal roads, drainage system, power substation, modern lighting system, underground electrical cabling, facade lighting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) services and signage installation," they said.
The node will be equipped with wide, well-planned roads, excellent connectivity, 24-hour power supply, dedicated water supply, drainage system and a sewage treatment plant (STP).
"UPEIDA is completing all necessary formalities, and construction and development work will begin soon," they said.
