UPSIDA Kursi Road emerging as major manufacturing hub, produces 24 lakh bottle caps daily

Lucknow, Oct 16 (UNI) The UPSIDA Kursi Road industrial area is emerging as a hub for food processing, beverages and allied manufacturing, with industries generating employment and strengthening local supply chains.
Among the units driving this growth is Hilltop Traders Private Limited, a major manufacturer of polyethene terephthalate (PET) preforms and water bottle caps that combines large-scale production with a focus on recycling and sustainability.
Spread across 12 acres, the company manufactures around 24 lakh bottle caps every day.
It employs more than 100 people full-time and approximately 100 part-time workers, contributing to local employment and industrial activity.
Hilltop Traders plays a key role in Uttar Pradesh’s beverage packaging ecosystem by supplying PET preforms and bottle caps to multiple Coca-Cola plants across the state.
These components are essential for the production and packaging of bottled beverages.
By manufacturing at scale, the company helps ensure a reliable supply chain for beverage producers while highlighting the critical role of ancillary industries in supporting large-scale manufacturing and efficient production networks.
Techno-Commercial Head, Umesh Mishra, highlighted that a notable feature of the Hilltop operations is its extensive use of recycled materials. The company utilizes recycled inputs in nearly 40% of its overall production, particularly in PET preforms.
This approach promotes resource efficiency, reduces dependence on virgin plastic, and supports sustainable manufacturing practices.
The use of recycled material also reflects the growing importance of circular-economy practices in the packaging sector, where businesses are exploring ways to reduce waste and make better use of available resources.
The UPSIDA Kursi Road industrial area has evolved into a major center for manufacturing and employment, hosting companies such as Coca-Cola, Gyan Dairy, SLMG Beverages, and several agro-based industries.
Together, these units generate over 5,000 jobs and drive economic activity in the region.
The presence of beverage, food-processing, and component manufacturing firms strengthens industrial linkages, creates opportunities for local businesses, and supports Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to boost investment, employment, and sustainable industrial growth.
