Hyderabad, May 7 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting on Operation Sindoor at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Hyderabad, issuing a series of directives to strengthen public safety, law enforcement, and emergency response across the state.
In a strong message of solidarity, Reddy declared, “We are all with the country’s army,” stressing that this is a time for national unity, not politics.
He urged all political parties and leaders to set aside differences and come together in support of the nation during this crucial time.
To ensure maximum readiness, all holidays for employees in emergency service departments have been cancelled.
The Chief Minister directed that all government staff, including ministers and senior officials, remain available at all times.
He further instructed the cancellation of all foreign tours by government functionaries to ensure their presence during this critical period.
CM Reddy expressed concern over the misuse of media and social platforms and ordered strict action against government employees engaging in unnecessary publicity. A 24-hour toll-free helpline is being made available to assist the public with information and emergencies.
He also directed the immediate custody of individuals living informally in the state from countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, emphasising the importance of internal security.
He called for the establishment of a comprehensive information system within the command control center to facilitate real-time coordination and data analysis. Law enforcement agencies were instructed to take strict action against anyone found disturbing peace and security.
The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of ensuring that blood banks are well-stocked and that emergency medicines are readily available.
Private hospitals have been asked to provide regular updates regarding bed availability, while coordination with the Red Cross has been advised to ensure efficient emergency response. Adequate food stock must be maintained, and authorities must remain vigilant against any potential cyber threats.
Expressing concern over the rise of fake news, CM Reddy directed the formation of a special cell to monitor and curb misinformation, stressing that such news could lead to panic among the public. Those spreading false information should face strict punishment, he said.
The Chief Minister also directed that CCTV cameras across the three police commissionerates be fully integrated with the command control room to enhance surveillance. Law enforcement presence and vigilance should be increased across all districts, including remote and border areas.
Security should also be strengthened around foreign embassies, IT corridors, and key areas within Hyderabad city.
Police have been placed on high alert, particularly regarding the activities of history-sheeters and known criminals. CM Reddy encouraged communication with local Peace Committees, where needed, to maintain harmony and public order, according to an official statement.
