Working with UNDP has been an enriching experience: Sanjana Sanghi

Mumbai, June 4 (UNI) Bollywood actress and designated UNDP Youth Champion, Sanjana Sanghi, has called her association with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as one of the most transformative and enriching experiences of her professional journey.

Sanjana has leveraged her platform as a designated UNDP Youth Champion to advocate for youth empowerment and sustainable development.
UNDP, the lead agency of the United Nations, works in more than 170 countries to eliminate poverty, reduce inequality and empower communities to prepare them for a sustainable future. The organisation helps countries formulate policies, strengthen leadership and build capacities so that they can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Sanjana Sanghi became the youngest speaker to address the UN General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in 2024.
This is the same platform where Priyanka Chopra Jonas has also addressed earlier. Sanjana, who has been active in efforts to bring about change at the grassroot level since her college days, has today become the face of a global campaign.
Reflecting on her journey, Sanghi remarked, "It's incredibly empowering to see young people not just dreaming of a better world, but actively building it. My association with UNDP allows me to amplify these voices and help create pathways for their impactful solutions."
She added, "Working with the UNDP has been an enriching journey. It’s a privilege to contribute to a global mission that directly impacts lives and empowers the next generation to be the architects of a sustainable future."
Sanghi's social work, rooted in her university years, has grown into an impactful advocacy. This year she was invited to the UN Headquarters, where she led the ‘Youth for Change’ campaign, which is the UN’s flagship global campaign to encourage youth to participate in building a just and equal world. This initiative seeks to bring youth forward as active agents of change and inspires them to engage with important global issues and provide innovative solutions.
