200 beneficiaries registered at Kalka Seva Setu camp; MLA orders on-the-spot action on welfare applications

Panchkula, Sep 25 (UNI) As many as 200 beneficiaries were registered on the Seva Setu portal on the first day of a two-day camp in Kalka on Friday, with officials directed to process applications of eligible people without unnecessary delay.
Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma inaugurated the camp at Ambedkar Bhawan and inspected stalls set up by different government departments offering assistance on welfare, self-employment, loans, subsidies and skill-development schemes.
Sharma directed officials to not merely provide information but also verify documents, register eligible beneficiaries on the spot and complete required formalities so that benefits could reach them without delay.
“The objective is to ensure that welfare benefits reach the eligible person at the last mile in a quick, transparent and simple manner,” Sharma said.
Officials said applications received through the Seva Setu portal were being acted upon at the camp, while beneficiaries possessing valid Family IDs were being registered for eligible schemes.
The camp is offering assistance for a range of schemes, including the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, under which eligible women aged 23 years and above with annual family income up to Rs 1.80 lakh are entitled to monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,100.
Eligible Scheduled Caste families are also being informed about loans of up to Rs 1.50 lakh, along with applicable subsidies, for agriculture, small industries, trade and other income-generating activities.
Under animal husbandry and dairy schemes, eligible Scheduled Caste beneficiaries can receive subsidies of up to 50% for specified livestock units, while eligible general and backward-class beneficiaries can get subsidies of up to 25% on specified units.
Women are being provided information about entrepreneurship and self-employment schemes offering loans ranging from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, depending on eligibility and the scheme concerned.
The camp is also providing information on skill-based training in areas such as computers, tailoring, embroidery and beauty care.
Sharma said Seva Setu camps were being organised across blocks, municipal corporation and municipal council areas to bring government schemes closer to eligible beneficiaries.
Kalka Municipal Council Chairman Krishan Lal Lamba, SDM Sanyam Garg, District Social Welfare Officer Vishal Saini and officials of various departments were present at the camp.
