40 CISF personnel receive special training at NFSU Delhi to counter cyberspace threats

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) In a bid to sharpen and enhance the response of the force with the regard to the cyberspace, a 12-week specialized training programme on “Cybersecurity and Incident Response” was held for the personnel of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
The training was conducted at the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science(LNJN-NICFS), National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi Campus, in Rohini, the force informed.
Professor, Dr. Minakshi Sinha, Deputy Director, NFSU Delhi attended the valedictory session, while Professor Colonel Nidhish Bhatnagar, and Subrat Jha, AIG, CISF Headquarters, along with other officials were present on the occasion.
The training programme was conducted from July 13 to October 8, where a total of forty CISF personnel, coming from different Airport Security Groups (ASGs) were imparted the special training.
The course provided comprehensive exposure to key areas of cyber security, including cyber threat landscape, network security, system security, digital forensics and incident response.
The course emphasized on developing practical understanding and operational capabilities to enable the participants to effectively respond to emerging cyber threats.
The force personnel undertook visits to important organizations and specialized facilities, including IFSO, CFSL, POWERGRID, DMRC and UIDAI, where the trainees were provided practical exposure to contemporary cyber security practices, digital forensics and incident-response mechanisms in critical and sensitive operational environments.
Their academic expertise and practical inputs were put together to significantly enrich the learning experience of the participating CISF personnel.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony, the CISF officer emphasized the need for continuous enhancement of cyber capabilities, strengthening of incident-response preparedness and effective translation of the knowledge and skills acquired during the training into operational practices.
The training is expected to contribute towards strengthening the cyber preparedness of CISF personnel and enhancing their ability to address emerging cyber threats associated with critical and sensitive security environments. UNI APS CDS
