Haryana ‘Second Home’ for Japanese businesses in India, Daikin discusses R&D Centre with CM Saini

Panchkula, Sep 30 (UNI) Haryana has emerged as a major destination for Japanese businesses in India, with the state government saying it hosts the highest share of Japanese companies in the country.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday met representatives of Japanese air-conditioning and appliances major Daikin in Chandigarh and discussed the company’s Research and Development Centre project in Haryana.
The Daikin management thanked the state government for the support and facilitation extended for the R&D project, according to the Chief Minister’s Office.
Saini said Haryana would continue to provide a business-friendly environment and necessary support to investors.
“Our government is committed to providing a business-friendly ecosystem, seamless facilitation and all necessary support to investors,” the Chief Minister said.
The state government said the proposed R&D initiative would further strengthen economic ties between Haryana and Japan while opening new opportunities for investment, innovation and employment.
The meeting comes as Haryana seeks to expand its position as a manufacturing and investment hub and attract further Japanese investment in technology, research and industrial development.

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT), which is one among the Tata Trusts headed by Chairman Noel Tata, is in the process of filing a caveat with the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra’s office after a complaint by trustee Venu Srinivasan, sources said.
The development comes after trustee Venu Srinivasan filed a complaint with the Charity Commissioner on Tuesday, alleging “illegal and irregular appointment of perpetual trustees and serious governance lapses” at the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT).
