Telangana: 112 youth selected for jobs through Singareni skill development Centre

Godavarikhani (Telangana), Oct 11 (UNI) As many as 112 unemployed youth from Singareni-affected areas have been selected for employment at Foxconn and L&T following recruitment interviews organised through the Singareni GVTC Skill Development Centre in Ramagundam–1 Area.
Of the 127 women candidates who attended the interviews, 87 were selected for jobs at Foxconn's manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, while 25 of the 27 male candidates who appeared for Solar Technician posts were selected for employment at L&T.
The first batch of 55 women selected for Foxconn left Godavarikhani for Hyderabad on Sunday.
The recruitment drive is part of Singareni's initiative to provide skill training and employment opportunities to unemployed youth from mining-affected areas.
The GVTC Skill Development Centre was established two years ago by Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and has facilitated employment for more than 500 candidates so far.
The selected women will work in the assembly sections manufacturing Apple EarPods and electronic components at Foxconn's Hyderabad facility.
The selected Solar Technicians are expected to join L&T within ten days, Ramagundam–1 Area General Manager D. Lalith Kumar said.
He said the centre was providing training in industry-oriented courses and connecting candidates with suitable employment opportunities.
Singareni management was committed to equipping local youth with the skills required to secure jobs and build sustainable livelihoods, he added.
Lalith Kumar advised the selected candidates to utilise the opportunities effectively, maintain discipline at the workplace and focus on professional growth.
