Three accused in murder of SP leader in Handia arrested

Prayagraj, Sep 16 (UNI) In a swift action, Prayagraj police have arrested 3 accused involved in the murder of Samajwadi Party leader Pawan Yadav in Handia area of the district late Tuesday evening.
The deceased was the Samajwadi Party district secretary.
According to the police, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle. A young man riding pillion shot the SP leader. The investigation has also revealed an old rivalry.
Police, after reviewing footage from 42 CCTV cameras, showed that the attackers came on a motorcycle.
SP leader Pawan was leaving a cafe in Handia town and approaching his car when he was shot by three men on a motorcycle.
Following the incident, police reviewed footage from approximately 42 CCTV cameras, including the Handia toll plaza.
The footage revealed three suspects riding a motorcycle.
Based on this, police detained Lalla Yadav, Brijesh Yadav, and Nihal Ali. During interrogation, it was revealed that the three men had arrived on a motorcycle to commit the crime. Nihal was driving the bike, Brijesh was in the middle, and Lalla was sitting at the back. Lalla Yadav fired at Pawan Yadav.
During interrogation, it emerged that there was an old rivalry between Pawan and Lalla.
Police have also recovered the bike and two pistols used in the incident.
Both pistols and cartridges were purchased for Rs 20,000. UNI XC-MBD SAS
