10-year-old girl killed in fire in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 22 (UNI) A 10-year-old girl was killed while another woman sustained injuries after a fire broke out at Mankhurd’s Mandala area, an official said here on Tuesday.
The incident was reported around 8.20 on Monday inside Janta Nagar, situated near the Hanuman temple in Mankhurd.
According to local residents, the fire was reported inside a residential unit along the internal lane number 4 of the Mandala area.
As per the Fire Control Room, at least six people have been reported injured and were taken to BMC-run Shatabdi Hospital in Govandi.
"As per information received from Shatabdi Hospital, Khushi Khan (10) was brought dead, and Farah Khan (25) had received 70% burns and was admitted in critical condition. Later she was shifted to Sion Hospital and was declared dead on Tuesday, the statement released by the BMC said.
The fire was extinguished around 8.40 pm.
