Kadapa, AP, Apr 15 (UNI) The Kadapa police have achieved a great feat by recovering 602 lost/stolen mobile phones worth Rs 1.8 crore in the sixth phase of ‘Operation Mobile Shield’.
Superintendent of Police EG Ashok Kumar said that under the sixth phase of ‘Operation Mobile Shield’, the police had recovered 602 lost or stolen mobile phones, and some of them were handed over to the owners.
The SP said that so far the Kadapa district police have seized 4,670 lost or stolen mobile phones worth Rs 9.2 crore in six phases, and most of them have been handed over to the owners.
The SP made it clear that the cybercrime police personnel used advanced technology to analyse data to trace the location of the mobile phone. The police also used digital forensics, GPS tracking, IMEI tracing and cyber vigilance tools to recover the stolen or lost mobile phones, the SP revealed.
The Missing Mobile Tracking System and CEIR are yielding good results, he added. Those who lost mobile phones can lodge their complaints on MMTS Whatsapp No. 93929 41541.
