Accelerate Growth Hub projects for Mumbai Metropolitan Region's development: Fadnavis

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) MMR Growth Hub is important to take the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to 300 billion dollars by 2030, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday.
For this, various projects have been undertaken in this area and the work of these projects should be done quickly, Fadnavis directed officials.
The meeting of the MMR Growth Hub Regulatory Board was held during the day under the chairmanship of Fadnavis.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Dr. Shirish Sankhe and senior officers of various departments were present.
Chief Secretary Saunik gave information about the work of the Growth Hub so far through a presentation.
Fadnavis said tourism, industry, urban development, housing, environment etc. sectors will have a major contribution to making MMR a growth hub. Keeping this in mind, various projects have been taken up in the Growth Hub Report. To make these projects world class, the work of the projects should be monitored.
Also, to keep an eye on this project, the projects in the Growth Hub should be included in the war room and the progress report of the projects should be kept on the dashboard, said Gadnavis.
Also, Fadnavis gave instructions on this occasion to form a team to remove the problems faced by these projects.
A report was prepared in September 2024 to develop the MMR as a growth hub. After this, 8 meetings have been held at various levels regarding the Growth Hub, 37 projects, 8 policies, 19 governance decisions have been taken in the Growth Hub and it was informed on this occasion that these projects will be implemented by seven organizations.
