Action under Makoka against those adulterating milk: Ajit Pawar

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said necessary amendments will be made to the existing law to take strict action under Makoka against adulterers of milk and similar food products and directed that the proposal be submitted before the Cabinet.
"Adulteration of milk and similar food items is a very serious matter. It poses a threat to people's lives. This will not be tolerated," he said.
According to the assurance given during the discussion in the Legislative Assembly about Analogue Cheese being sold in many places in the state under the name of Analogue Paneer, and adulteration of milk, a meeting was organized today in the Committee Room of the Legislative Assembly under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Pawar.
