Amit Shah’s firm stand against forced religious conversion appreciable: BJP Leader

Phagwara, Apr 3 (UNI) National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal on Thursday extended his heartfelt appreciation to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his bold and uncompromising stance against religious conversions through fear, greed, or coercion.

Talking to newsmen here, he lauded Amit Shah's recent address in the Lok Sabha, where he fearlessly questioned, “If someone is hungry, will you change their religion by giving them food?”

This powerful statement has once again reinforced the government’s commitment to preserving India’s cultural and religious integrity, he said.

Grewal warned, "In new India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such fraudulent conversions will face the iron fist of the law. No one should exploit poverty or vulnerability to manipulate faith. This is not just a political stance; it is a fight to protect our civilizational ethos.”

He further emphasized that BJP will always stand against any form of coercion or deceitful practices that seek to undermine the spiritual and cultural fabric of the nation. Nation First, Dharma Eternal remains the guiding principle of this government, ensuring that justice prevails for all.
