AP aims to achieve USD 2.4 trillion economy by 2047

Vijayawada, Mar 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Principal Finance Secretary Peeyush Kumar on Tuesday highlighted that Andhra Pradesh State has devised a one-year action plan, estimated the necessary resources and set clear targets.
Addressing the Collector’s conference at Amaravati near here, Secretary Peeyush Kumar presented the Swarnandhra Vision and GSDP growth strategy, outlining a structured approach to development that has said that aims to achieve 15 percent growth per annum.
"The goal is to achieve a USD 2.4 trillion economy with a per capita income of USD 42,000 by 2047. To support this, Andhra Pradesh aims to grow its population from 5.3 crore to 5.8 crore, attain a 100 percent literacy rate, and increase life expectancy to 85 years. Similarly, on the economic front, the State should achieve a GSDP of Rs 308 lakh crore and Per Cap GSDP of Rs 55 lakh," the Principal Secretary asserted.
The state’s economic blueprint includes raising GSDP from Rs 15.93 lakh crore to Rs 18.65 lakh crore by 2025-26 and adding Rs 15 lakh crore to the GSDP by 2029 through investments totaling Rs 40 lakh crore, he revealed. To achieve these objectives, significant sectoral investments are required over the next five years: Rs 5.85 lakh crore in agriculture, Rs 11.97 lakh crore in industries, Rs 19.52 lakh crore in services, and Rs 9.29 lakh crore in public investment, he acknowledged.
Looking ahead, the state aims for a per capita GSDP of Rs 5,460.748 crore by 2047-48. The GVA sub-sector contributions will focus on agriculture and allied sectors, industry, and the service sector. Particular attention will be given to the growth of agriculture, including fisheries, horticulture, and livestock, as well as industries and the service sector, especially tourism, he mentioned.
The Collector’s conference marks a significant step toward transforming Andhra Pradesh into a global economic powerhouse through strategic planning, investment mobilisation, and administrative excellence.
