AP : JNTUK signs MOU with Avantel on collaborative programmes

Kakinada, Apr 2 (UNI) The ECE wing of the JNTUK campus engineering college has entered into an agreement with the Avantel company on conducting collaborative programmes in M.Tech signal processing and communications.
At a brief function held in VC conference hall here on Wednesday ,JNTUK incharge Registrar Prof V Ravindranath , IIIP& T Director Prof B T Krishna have signed on behalf of JNTUK while from Avantel Limited its chairman and MD Dr P Vidyasagar, Vice president technical N Srinivasarao have signed the agreement.
Later, Vice chancellor Prof CSRK Prasad and Avantel chairman Dr Vidyasagar have exchanged the agreement. Avantel chairman Dr Vidyasagar said that under the agreement they would establish a center of excellence in JNTUK with modern digital communication laboratory, embedded systems design laboratory, system design and embedded lynx laboratory with and wireless communication laboratory with real time operating systems.
Both JNTUK and Avantel would offer Collaborative M.Tech programmes.
The JNTUK students after completion of first year have to do internship,PG thesis and project in Avantel during which each student would be paid a stipend of Rs.25,000 monthly and on completion of the course would be given placement with Rs.9 lakh package, he added.
