AP: MSME DC holds reverse buyer seller meet in Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Apr 24 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (APMSME DC), in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) inaugurated the two-day Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) here on Thursday.
This event was aimed to strengthen trade linkages and provide a robust platform for MSMEs from Andhra Pradesh to showcase their products and capabilities to international buyers.
The RBSM is part of a broader initiative to boost exports and open up new markets for the vibrant MSME sector and vision of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to create entrepreneurs in each home in Andhra Pradesh.
The event was inaugurated by AP MSME DC Chairman Thammireddy Sivasankara Rao in the presence of senior officials from APMSME DC, FIEO, industry leaders, and a distinguished delegation of overseas buyers from various countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sivasankara emphasised the crucial role of MSMEs in India’s export growth and applauded the efforts of APMSME DC in facilitating direct business interactions between local enterprises and global buyers.
“This RBSM is a strategic move towards empowering MSMEs by providing them access to international markets, insights into global standards, and the opportunity to forge long-term trade partnerships,” he added.
More than 320 MSMEs from diverse sectors such as Textiles and Garments, Automobile Parts, food processing, handicrafts, are participating in the meet.
Over 25 international buyers from 17 countries including US, Japan, UK, GCC, Africa, South East Asia, are participating and had one-to-one meeting with exporters, startups, artisans, weavers, apart from MSME exporters with the aim to foster direct business discussions and generate export opportunities to them.
The Reverse Buyer Seller Meet will continue over two days featuring B2B meetings, mentoring, and networking sessions. The event is expected to result in several trade leads and signing of MoUs, giving a substantial boost to the MSME export ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh.
APMSME DC planned to have similar RBSMs across major districts in the coming months to provide market access to MSMEs in Andhra Pradesh and help new entrepreneurs to showcase their product and innovations to the global audience and also help in adopting global best practises and trends.
