Assam Rifles celebrates 190th Raising Day in Meghalaya

Nongkrem, Mar 24 (UNI) Assam Rifles, one of the oldest and most prestigious paramilitary forces in India, celebrated its 190th Raising Day on March 24 with great pride and solemnity at its headquarters here in Meghalaya.
The milestone marks nearly two centuries of dedicated service, valour, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders.
Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera along with all ranks of the Force, paid homage at the War Memorial to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the past.
