At Barmulla job fair, youth connected with 28 reputed companies

Srinagar, Apr 17 (UNI) The District Employment & Counselling Centre (DECC) Baramulla, in collaboration with the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps, on Thursday organized a mega job fair at the Chinar Yuva Centre in Baramulla, drawing a strong response from job seekers.
Srinagar-based Defence spokesman said the General Officer Commanding, of Army's Srinagar based Chinar Corps along with the GOC, Dagger Division visited the same, wherein he appreciated the efforts & expressed satisfaction on the success of the event, which connected youth of the valley with leading employers from 28 reputed companies.

The companies included PhonePe, Kia, SBI Life, Tata Winstron, ICICI Bank, Honda, PNB Metlife, Mahindra Motors, LIC India etc across IT, Healthcare, Banking, Hospitality, Retail and Manufacturing Sectors.

The spokesman said on-the-spot Interviews, career counselling and upskilling workshops were conducted for the participants.
Additionally, self-employment programs and loan schemes were introduced to support aspiring entrepreneurs.

“The initiative reflects a continued commitment to youth empowerment, employment generation and economic growth in the region. Indian Army remains steadfast towards its commitment to promote peace, impart skills and integrate the youth of the valley into the mainstream thus helping them to contribute towards nation building,” the spokesman said.
