Babasaheb enabled the poor, deprived to fight for self-respect: Maha Deputy CM Pawar

Mumbai, Apr 13 (UNI) Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday gratefully remembered the work and thoughts of the maker of the Indian constitution and said he gave the right to equality and enabled the poor and the deprived the strength to fight for their self-respect.
Paying tributes to Ambedkar on the eve of his birth anniversary, Pawar said, "Dr. Babasaheb fought a decisive battle against evil practices like ignorance, immorality, superstition, untouchability, caste discrimination in this country. It was only because of him that the people of this country got the right to live as human beings".
"He gave the right to equality and the strength to fight for self-respect to the poor, deprived, weak and neglected brothers and sisters in the society. His message of 'Learn, organise and struggle' benefited many generations of Bahujans," he said. UNI VKB SSP
