Bengal: Over 18 shops gutted at Dinhata

Cooch Behar, Mar 15 (UNI) At least eighteen shops

were reduced to ashes in a major fire in North Bengal's

Cooch Behar district's Dinhata town early Saturday, Fire Brigade sources said.

However, there has been no report of casualty in the blaze, which was first

noticed around 04 30 hours.

Two fire fighting vehicles were deployed to douse the flames in about

two hours.

North Bengal Development Minister Udayan Guha,

also chairman of Dinhata Municipality, visited the affected market.
