Bhadrachalam Tribal Museum to showcase rich tribal heritage and boost local economy

Hyderabad, Mar 25 (UNI) The establishment of a tribal museum in Bhadrachalam has created new opportunities to highlight the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities, said State Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.

On Tuesday, Minister Ponguleti, along with Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka, released the brochure of the Bhadrachalam Tribal Museum at the Legislative Assembly premises.

Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the museum will serve as a platform to showcase tribal traditions, dialects, lifestyle, handicrafts, folk songs, and customs. He announced that the museum will be inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy during the Sri Rama Navami celebrations in Bhadrachalam.

Bhadrachalam, renowned for its historic Ram Temple, attracts devotees from across the country. The addition of the Tribal Museum will further enhance its appeal as a tourist destination while generating employment opportunities for local tribal communities.

Emphasizing the importance of preserving tribal culture, the Minister remarked that tribal traditions are gradually fading and that such a museum is crucial for passing on this heritage to future generations.

He also highlighted that the museum would provide a platform for tribal artists to showcase their talents and expand market opportunities for their handicrafts, contributing to the development of tribal villages in and around Bhadrachalam.
