Bike accident kills two youths, injures as many

Kolkata, May 5 (UNI) Two youths were killed and as many injured seriously when their motorcycle, in which all four were riding, hit a railing on the Ultadanga flyover early on Monday, police said.

Two youths were killed instantly and two others were admitted to the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Police said all the four youths, the residents of Tiljala in the eastern part of the city, were helmetless and were at high speed on the flyover.

Itanagar, May 5 (UNI) In a move aimed at supporting its employees and pensioners amid rising living costs, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday announced a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR), raising the existing rate from 53% to 55% of the basic pay and pension. The revised rates will take effect from January 1, 2025.
