Bulldozer action initiated in Nainital following minor rape case

Nainital, May 1 (UNI) In response to alleged rape of a minor in Nainital, Uttarakhand, the administration has initiated bulldozer action on Thursday against encroachments in the area.

The administration identified 150 encroachments in Rukut Compound.

Under the leadership of Joint Magistrate Varuna Agarwal, a joint operation was conducted by the revenue department, municipal corporation, and district development authority to identify encroachments.
During the operation, 100 notices were issued by the municipal corporation and 50 notices were issued by the development authority to encroachers.

The notices were primarily issued for non-compliance with building bylaws, encroachments on roads, and drains. A notice has also been pasted on the property of the accused in the minor's sexual exploitation case.

According to administrative sources, the administration is likely to take action against these encroachments soon.
