Raipur, May 2 (UNI) A woman was killed, and three others were injured when a speeding vehicle ran over four men while they were out on a morning walk in Telibandha area of Raipur on Friday, police said.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Telibandha police station reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, a young man and a young woman were travelling in the vehicle. Even after the accident, they did not stop and fled with the vehicle.
The vehicle not only crushed the pedestrians but also hit the vegetable carts, dividers and other vehicles parked on the way.
The identity of the deceased woman is being ascertained.
The police have started scanning the CCTV footage.
