Chandigarh, Mar 28 (UNI) Sirsa Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Kumari Selja on Friday wrote a letter to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini mentioning that 20 villages in Sirsa district in her constituency are facing a severe water crisis.
She said that these villages have no irrigation water facilities, and the people are also struggling with a lack of drinking water. For the last seven years, people have been demanding the Dhingtania channel, but they have only received assurances.
This minor channel, which runs from Manggala village to Jamal, has excluded 20 surrounding villages, which have no irrigation water.
