CPI(M) condemns Jammu terror attack, urges strong action and justice for victims

Hyderabad, Apr 23 (UNI) The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee strongly condemned the inhuman terrorist attack that took place in Jammu and Kashmir, where 28 people, including tourists and civilians belonging to one religion, were brutally killed in indiscriminate firing by terrorists at a popular tourist destination.

Among the victims was Manish Ranjan, an officer from the Hyderabad Intelligence Bureau, whose death has sent shockwaves across the nation. At least 20 others were injured in the massacre.

Expressing deep condolences to the bereaved families, CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley on Wednesday urged the Central Government to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured and provide all necessary support to the families of the deceased.

The CPI(M) criticised the careless handling of the situation by the Centre and demanded a thorough investigation from all angles. The party called for the strictest punishment for those responsible, asserting that peace in Jammu and Kashmir must be protected and such attacks must never recur.

“The government must prioritise security and justice, ensuring such heinous crimes are never repeated. It is not just the people of India, but the entire world, that is watching,” said Wesley.
