DNA of Congress, country same: Maha

Satara, May 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress party's president Harshvardhan Sapkal said on Saturday that the DNA of the Congress party and the country is same and asserted that the party, which was instrumental in gaining independence for the country, will never be finished.
Talking to reporters in Karad town of the district, Sapkal, who was on a visit to the district to pay homage to the memorial of state's first chief minister Yashwantrao Chavan, said that those who think that the Congress party will be finished, did not know the history of the country.
They did not respect the freedom fighters who brought freedom to the country, and they did not understand their value, he said.
They forget that after independence, two prime ministers of the Congress party sacrificed their lives for the country, he said and noted that they even forget terrorist who murdered Mahatma Gandhi.
"We all should stand behind ability of Indian army with testimony of late Chavan in 1960, who had brought 'Mangal Kalash' of Maharashtra, Sapkal added.
