Haryana: Vij takes a dig at Kejriwal

Chandigarh, Mar 21 (UNI) Taking a dig at former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Haryana Minister and senior BJP leader Anil Vij on Friday said after ruining Delhi the AAP National Convenor was now trying to do the same in Punjab.
"After ruining Delhi, he is now trying to do the same in Punjab," said Vij.
During a heated exchange in the Haryana Assembly with Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Vij criticised the Congress veteran for raising "baseless" issues.
He accused Hooda of disregarding democratic traditions, recalling that even when they were in opposition, Hooda would not allow others to speak and would have members forcibly removed from the Assembly.
Vij questioned the role of such a dictatorial person in a democratic institution like the Assembly,
where everyone has the right to speak. He condemned Hooda’s remark, “I won’t let you speak,” as "inappropriate" for parliamentary discourse.
Vij said, "It questions Congress’s leadership and decision-making ability." Vij also commented on Congress’s failure to appoint a Leader of Opposition in Haryana. UNI GS SSP
