IAS rank officer to monitor road concreting works in Mumbai: Maha minister

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) Minister Uday Samant on Tuesday informed in the Maharashtra Legislative Council on Tuesday that an Indian Administrative Service (IAS rank) officer will be appointed to control the concretisation of road works in Mumbai and maintain standards.
While replying to a question raised by member Prasad Lad in the upper house, he said that the appointed officer will carry out the responsibility of monitoring the concreting work, checking the quality of work, coordinating the works, and taking action against substandard contractors.
There should be no errors in the concreting work and it should not create any problems in future, he said.
