JD(U) MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh claimed the Opposition is disturbing the environment in the country.
He said those against the legislation are either trying to woo their vote bank or are fearing they might lose the land they own through Waqf.
TDP leader Krishna Prasad Tenneti said, “There is a need to take care of their welfare and the lives of the minorities. In the light of these challenges, the presence of the vast Waqf properties valued at over Rs 1.2 lakh crore and covering 36.18 lakh acres presents an opportunity for economic and social transformation for minorities.”
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav strongly criticised the BJP in the Lok Sabha over the Bill, accusing the ruling party of having neither the right policies nor the right intentions.
Yadav said, "BJP's policies and intentions are flawed. This is a conspiracy to snatch homes and shops from crores of people in the country." UNI RBE JA SSP
