Israeli tanks open fire on Abasan in east of Khan Yunis: Reports

Jerusalem, Mar 18 (UNI) Israeli tanks opened fire on the eastern areas of the city of Abasan, which is located in the east of the Khan Yunis province, there is a massive shelling, Al Jazeera reported.

According to a statement by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Israel launched massive air strikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas earlier said Netanyahu had ended the ceasefire and exposed the hostages in the Gaza Strip to an "unknown fate."

Palestinian broadcaster Al Aqsa reported that the death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night had exceeded 230, with more than 350 people injured.

The truce between Israel and Hamas officially ended on March 1, but hostilities have not resumed due to attempts by mediators to involve the parties in continuing negotiations on a settlement in Gaza.
