Jammu, May 11 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police in the wake of the recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control on Sunday reached out to the general public and assured full support to them in the bordering Poonch district.
As per the official communiqué, Additional Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Mohan Sharma, accompanied by the In-charge Police Post (IC PP) Jhullas, undertook a comprehensive visit to the forward border villages of Jhullas, Mangnar, and Salotri to assess the situation on ground and reassure the local population.
The officer interacted with local residents and community representatives, listening to their concerns regarding safety, infrastructure damage, and essential services in light of the recent cross-border shelling.
He reiterated the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure the security and well-being of civilians living in the border belt.
“The safety of our border residents is our top priority. The police administration stands with the people of Poonch, especially those directly affected by ceasefire violations. Every effort will be made to address their grievances promptly,” said ASP Sharma.
The visit reflects the proactive approach of Poonch Police in maintaining peace and public confidence amid sensitive border conditions.
