Kerala: Two youths held with 28 gm of MDMA near Palakkad

Palakkad (Kerala), Mar 14 (UNI) The District Anti-narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) team Palakkad town south police on Friday arrested two youths and seized 28.09 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine(MDMA ) narcotic drugs, at Manapullykavu near here, as part of Operation "D" hunt special drive, on the directions of District Police Chief Ajith Kumar.
Police arrested Ajith (23) of Kovalam in Thiruvanthapuram and Rajesh (23) of Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district along with 28.09 grams of MDMA brought from Bengaluru.
Narcotic cell DYSP Abdul Muneer has said, police arrested 333 persons in 328 cases within 20 days for drug peddling and sale, according to the data from February 22 to March 12 from the district.
Police team seized 123 kilograms of Ganja (cannabis), 196 grams of MDMA, 9.2 grams of Hashish Oil, and 148.75 grams of tablets (Pyeevon Spas plus capsule tablets contains Tramadol HCI) and 11.78 grams of (Alprapal capsule tablet contains Alprazolam tablets IP0.5), during the special drive, so far.
