Kerala: Woman killed, her parents injured in brutal attack by her husband

Kozhikode, Mar 18 (UNI) A young woman hacked to death and parents suffered stab injuries in the alleged attack of her husband at their house at Engapuzha Kakkad near Thamarassery, on Tuesday.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Shibila (25), while her father Abdu Rahiman (52) suffered serious injuries and her mother Haseena (45) also sustained injuries, while attempting to thwart the attack of her husband Yasar of Puthuppady.
Shibila died on the spot with injuries on neck and the body was shifted to Kozhikode Medical college hospital for post-mortem.
After the crime, accused Yasar fled away from the scene and investigation is on to nab him. Abdurahiman has been admitted at Kozhikode Medical College hospital with stab injuries on his head and his wife Haseena suffered stab injuries on hands and admitted at Thamarassery taluk hospital.
According to the eyewitness and neighbours, Yasar was a drug addict, and the attack was reportedly committed under the influence of drugs. The incident took place around 6 pm,
Yasar reached the wife's house at Engapuzha in a car and attacked Shibila first.
Family dispute was the cause of the attack and he fled in the same car.
Shibila had filed a complaint before the Thamarassery police last month related to the threat from her husband Yasar, so she was residing at her ancestral house along with parents.
