Moscow, Apr 22 (UNI) There are no specific plans for talks between Russia and Ukraine following Kiev's recent proposal to halt strikes by both sides against civilian infrastructure, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
He said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed his readiness to discuss the issue. But there were no specific details.
Peskov pointed to nuances regarding the proposal, such as when civilian infrastructure could become a military target, citing the example of militants using a civilian facility for a meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed on Sunday to halt any strikes using long-range drones and missiles on civilian infrastructure for at least 30 days.
However, Putin said Monday that Ukraine's proposal requires scrutiny, and the issue could potentially be discussed through bilateral dialogue.
