KTR reaffirms BRS strength in Karimnagar, slams BJP & Congress

KTR reaffirms BRS strength in Karimnagar, slams BJP & Congress

Karimnagar, Mar 23 (UNI) BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) asserted that the party remains strong in Karimnagar, emphasising its deep-rooted connection with KCR.

Speaking at a BRS workers' meeting, he recalled that Karimnagar played a crucial role in the Telangana movement, citing KCR’s 2001 Simhagarjana public meeting as a turning point.

He highlighted how the region has historically supported KCR, even when he resigned from Parliament in protest against Congress’s stance on Telangana.

KTR criticised the ruling Congress government, accusing it of failing farmers and the unemployed.

He claimed that under Congress, agricultural distress has worsened due to the lack of Rythu Bandhu funds and loan waivers, leaving farmers struggling.

KTR also targeted the BJP, calling it an enemy of Telangana’s interests.

He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of breaking promises, including depositing Rs 15 lakh in Jan Dhan accounts and creating two crore jobs annually.

He warned of the dangers of delimitation, alleging that the Modi government plans to reduce MP seats in southern states while increasing them in the north, which would disadvantage Telangana.

KTR also accused Congress of prioritizing the Gandhi family over the state's welfare, alleging that funds meant for Telangana are being diverted to Delhi.

Calling on party workers to stay united, KTR urged massive participation in BRS’s April 27 Warangal meeting to showcase the party’s strength.

He stressed that despite electoral setbacks, BRS remains committed to Telangana’s progress and will return to power.
