Maha: 69-yr-old Punekar gets timely treatment for critical cardiac issue post routine check-up

Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Doctors at Apollo Clinic, a network of healthcare clinics in India, has helped a 69-year-old senior citizen from Pune in Maharashtra, who was diagnosed with signs of acute inferior wall myocardial infarction (heart attack) during a routine check-up, with a timely and accurate diagnosis, officials said here on Tuesday.
Dr Mukesh Budhwani, senior physician and diabetologist at Apollo Clinic, said on Tuesday that when the senior citizen visited the Viman Nagar branch of the clinic chain last week with the expectation of a routine health check-up.
Post several tests and health checks being conducted, medical experts and doctors at the clinic found worrying signs. An ECG test revealed that the concerned person had symptoms of IWMI. This condition occurs when the inferior wall of the heart suffers damage due to a blockage in the right coronary artery (RCA).
