Maha: Court rejects bail application of journalist Koratkar

Kolhapur, Apr 1 (UNI) The District Court here on Tuesday rejected bail application of Nagpur-based journalist Prashant Koratkar, who is lodged in judicial custody for allegedly threatening renowned historian Indrajeet Sawant.
After end of his police remand, Koratkar was sent to 14 days judicial custody on March 30.
Immediately then, Koratkar's lawyer Saurabh Ghag had filed a bail application but Judge S S Tat had posted the hearing on April one.
Accordingly, Judge Tat today rejected his bail application.
Koratkar is now in Kalamba district jail.
Besides threatening historian Sawant, Koratkar had also made objectionable remarks against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji Maharaj.
