Maha Governor C P Radhakrishnan to present Vishwakarma Qualified Worker Award on May 13

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) The prestigious Kamgar Bhushan Award and Vishwakarma Qualified Worker Award, which are given in the labour field, will be distributed on May 13.
Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan will present the awards to 52 workers from the state.

The Commissioner of Labour Welfare, Raviraj Elave, informed through a media statement that, the ceremony will be held in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Assembly Speaker Adv Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Labour Minister Adv. Akash Fundkar, Minister of State for Labour Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, all local MPs and MLAs, as well as Principal Secretary of the Labour Department I.A. Kunda and other dignitaries.

The award distribution ceremony has been organised at Hutatma Babu Genu Mumbai Girni Kamgar Krida Bhavan, Prabhadevi, Mumbai on evening of Tuesday (May 13).
The awards to be given this time are for the year 2023 and the Kamgar Bhushan Award will be given to Srinivas Kondiba Kalamkar, a worker of Bajaj Auto Limited, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The award consists of Rs. 50,000, a memento and a certificate. Also, 51 workers from across the state will be given the Vishwakarma Qualified Worker Award and the awardees will be given Rs. 25,000 each, a memento and a certificate.
This award is given by the Maharashtra Workers Welfare Board of the state government to workers who have done remarkable work in various social, cultural, educational and sports, organisation fields while working.
Every year, one worker is selected for the Kamgar Bhushan Award and 51 workers are selected for the Vishwakarma Qualified Worker Award, he added .
